Summer is arriving and for anyone looking to escape the relentless sunshine and sweltering heat, Hollywood has the answer.
While these days it can seem like every season has become blockbuster season, the long school holidays and desire for air-conditioned refuge continue to justify an almost endless stream of big budget, star-studded entertainment on our cinema screens.
Below are our picks of the biggest blockbusters opening between now and September (opening dates are for Hong Kong).
1. Asteroid City
Wes Anderson is certainly an acquired taste, but the sheer star power of his ensemble casts makes his films difficult to ignore.
His latest oddity might just feature his biggest line-up yet, as Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson and Steve Carell headline an affectionate throwback to 1950s science fiction, which sees a bizarre extraterrestrial encounter trigger a paranoid frenzy in a remote desert community. (Opens June 22)

After a slew of award-winning dramatic roles and tentpole franchise features, Jennifer Lawrence is now dipping her toe into the murky realm of R-rated comedy.
