Matthieu Blazy’s first Métiers d’Art collection for the brand is a love letter to New York and the maison’s 11 resident ateliers alike

Matthieu Blazy’s first Métiers d’Art collection for Chanel, presented last December in a former subway station in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, is a love letter to New York City as well as the maison’s 11 resident ateliers that help make the magic happen, from embroiderer Lesage to flower-making specialist Lemarié. Naturally, the collection looks right at home on the vibrant, lived-in city streets of the Big Apple, taking centre stage in our May cover shoot.
