Meet ‘Crazy Green Asian’ fitness guru Liv Lo – wife of Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding
Yoga teacher, who last year launched online workshops mixing yoga with high-intensity, interval training, is passionate about saving the planet, writes Stephanie Dickson
We’re big fans of Liv Lo, the wife of Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding.
Not only does the Taiwanese-Italian Lo, 33, kick our butts with her FitSphere online workouts, but she is one of our favourite “Crazy Green Asians” – using her voice for the good fight, to save the planet (and us!).
Last year the Emcee, yoga instructor and fitness entrepreneur launched her fitness website FitSphere, which offers workout videos that mixes yoga with high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
In March she was in Kuala Lumpur to host a FitSphere First launch event, where she gave women an introduction to her lifestyle philosophy and also the chance to try one of her signature HIIT Yoga workouts.
I first met Lo a few years ago thanks to American actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his 2016 documentary about climate change, Before The Flood, when she had just had a rude awakening about the state of our planet.
She wasted no time in taking action and we decided to put an event together to screen the documentary and discuss how we could “arise” before the flood.
Not one to sit on the sidelines and wait for things to change, Lo likes to takes things into her own hands – including starting an “anti-plastic petition” in Singapore and launching her new type of workout, which combines the sweat of HIIT with the meditative benefits of yoga.
