Antonio Cipriano always wanted to be on Broadway

Born in May 2000, Cipriano grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where he attended University Liggett High School.
When he was in his junior year, he was named best actor at the Sutton Foster Ovation Awards, which celebrates high school theatre across Michigan. Afterwards, he went on to become a finalist at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards, which has been compared to the Tony Awards for high school theatre.
Cipriano always dreamed of becoming a Broadway star, and these dreams came to fruition months after the Jimmy Awards, when he received a Facebook message from casting director Stephen Kopel asking him to audition for a role in the Jagged Little Pill Broadway musical, according to the Metro Times.
