How did Avery Anna start singing?

Hailing from Flagstaff, Arizona, Avery Anna Rhoton was born in March 2004. Growing up as a sporty child, her pivot to music came about as an outlet for her emotions and creativity when she was growing up, according to MusicRow magazine.
She was eight years old when she started journalling after an aunt gifted her a journal at her baptism. The habit of writing down her feelings would go on to become the source material for her songs.
Exposed to music through church and her grandfather, she gradually turned her journaling into songwriting, and started writing her own music when she was in third or fourth grade.
The Covid pandemic allowed her more time to hone her musical skills, and this led her to start sharing her songs on social media.
