Meet F1 driver Charles Leclerc’s younger brother Arthur – who’s also a professional racer

Arthur is a F1 development driver for his brother’s team, Ferrari; the 2 made history in 2024 as the first siblings to drive together as teammates

Mercedes has dominated the season so far. Leclerc has previously spoken openly about Ferrari’s shortcomings, saying, “As far as the Mercedes are concerned, I don’t think there’s much to be done at the moment – the gap is enormous.” But only four races into the season, the championship is far from settled.

Yet even as Charles navigates the pressure of an uphill season, he is not the only Leclerc with Ferrari ambitions. His younger brother Arthur is also an F1 development driver for the scuderia. Read on to find out more about Arthur.
Papa Leclerc was also a racing driver

Born in October 2000, Arthur Leclerc is the younger son of late racing driver Hervé Leclerc. Charles and Arthur have an older half-brother, Lorenzo, who co-founded All Time, a Monaco-based firm offering administrative, financial and lifestyle management services to elite athletes.
Arthur began karting in 2014. He moved into car racing relatively late, after the family prioritised funding Charles’ path to Formula One. After graduating to the French F4 championship in 2018, Arthur joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2020 and raced in the Formula Regional European Championship that season.
