Private hospitals raise fees by up to 44.6 per cent

At least seven private hospitals in the city have raised their fees over the past six months citing rising operating costs. Matilda International Hospital on The Peak led the way with fees for surgery, plastic surgery and diagnostic imaging services increasing by about 10 per cent, while the cost of breast and pelvic ultrasound screening services surged by 42.1 per cent and 44.6 per cent respectively.
