Indonesia’s Toko Kopi Tuku finds success by making coffee accessible to everyone
Founder’s vision to offer high-quality coffee at affordable prices and put money back into communities has resonated with Indonesians.
Toko Kopi Tuku founder and CEO Andanu Prasetyo had a vision when he set out a decade ago to open a coffee shop serving high-quality coffee brewed from domestically grown beans. The idea was to make the drink accessible to all Indonesians at affordable prices. The company says its “coffee for everyone” philosophy does not just apply to customers, but also to its direct involvement with Indonesian coffee farmers, putting money back into communities to help nurture the country’s coffee industry. The strategy has resonated with Indonesians who have embraced the strategy of the chain known as Tuku, which now has 65 shops across the archipelago and even some outlets overseas.
