Japanese heavy metal legend Yoshiki opens Tokyo Fashion Week with rock 'n' roll kimono collection

Tokyo Fashion Week kicked off with legendary Japanese rock star Yoshiki’s latest kimono collection on October 14, 2019. 

Yoshiki, drummer and co-founder of the heavy metal group X Japan, said he hopes to spread kimono culture throughout the world by working elements of music and animation into his versions of the traditional Japanese garment.
