Typhoon Khanun rips up pavements and floods towns in Southeast and East Asia

Heavy rain brought on by Typhoon Doksuri and a southwest monsoon that was intensified by Typhoon Khanun, submerged low-lying villages in the northern Philippines, before pounding the Japanese island of Okinawa and stranding dozens of Hong Kong tourists. Monsoon rains have also flooded southern Cambodia and parts of Thailand.
