Japan start-up develops Gundam-like robot with US$2.7 million price tag

A start-up based in the Japanese capital Tokyo has developed a giant human-piloted robot, inspired in part by “Mobile Suit Gundam” characters from the wildly popular anime. Tsubame Industries says its robot does more than just look cool, since it has applications for disaster relief or even space exploration.
