‘Cuter in real life’: twin ‘treasure’ pandas charm public at name-reveal ceremony in South Korea

A lucky group of South Koreans got their first close-up look at the nation’s new pair of baby giant pandas on October 12, 2023. During the event at Everland theme park outside the capital Seoul, the pandas were formally named Rui Bao and Hui Bao – meaning “wise treasure” and “shining treasure”, respectively, in Chinese. The cubs were born nearly 100 days ago.
