Trump showers praise on Indonesia’s Prabowo during congratulatory call

Indonesian leader Prabowo Subianto and US president-elect Donald Trump expressed admiration for each other during a phone call posted on social media on November 11, 2024. Prabowo rang Trump to congratulate him on his return to the White House. The 72-year-old Indonesian president shared a video of his conversation on Instagram and expressed his desire to meet Trump in person, saying, “I would like to call personally on you wherever you are. I’m willing to fly to congratulate you in person, sir”. Trump replied, “We’ll do that any time you want,” adding that Prabowo was doing an “amazing” job leading Indonesia.
