Two trains collided outside the Indonesian capital Jakarta late on April 27, 2026, killing at least seven people, injuring dozens more and prompting a mammoth rescue effort. First responders were still actively working at the scene in the early hours of April 28, with several victims believed to still be trapped in the wreckage.
