The Lunar New Year travel rush has begun and initial figures suggest holiday traffic is up compared to 2023. Nearly 190 million passenger trips were made on the first day of travel alone, a 19.7 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. But amid a weaker economy, the numbers are not expected to reach pre-pandemic levels.
