China’s Chang’e-6 probe blasts off from the moon with first-ever ‘far side’ samples

The first rock samples from the moon's far side, collected by China’s Chang’e-6 mission, have taken off and entered designated lunar orbit on June 4, 2024. The three-week-long journey home is the first time in human history that a spacecraft took off from the moon’s perpetually hidden other side.
