Hongkongers flocked to Wong Tai Sin Temple to usher in Year of the Rat

Hongkongers rang in the Year of the Rat with festivities across the city, including offering incense at a temple in Wong Tai Sin. Many worshippers wore face masks amid fears of the new coronavirus outbreak.

Protesters gathered outside the temple after 11pm as police stopped and searched several people.
