Fallen trees, flooded rivers: Super Typhoon Ragasa tears through Hong Kong

The Observatory says Ragasa was about 120km south of Hong Kong at its closest point to the city on Wednesday morning.

Hong Kong woke up to a downpour as Super Typhoon Ragasa edged as close as 120km (74.5 miles) south of the city on the morning of September 24, 2025. As of 3pm, 82 people were injured and received medical treatment at public hospitals, while a total of 698 fallen trees and 16 flooding cases had been reported.
