Firefighter, 11 others dead as blaze engulfs housing blocks in Hong Kong’s Tai Po

Twelve people were killed including a firefighter in a major blaze that broke out in Hong Kong’s Tai Po neighbourhood on November 26, 2025. Sixteen others were sent to hospital. Multiple residents are reported trapped inside the burning buildings as fierce flames spread across bamboo scaffoldings at a housing estate.
