The status of 200 people is still unclear more than 48 hours after Hong Kong’s deadliest fire in decades. One hundred twenty eight people, including a firefighter, are confirmed dead. Family members have been visiting a nearby community centre, looking at photos of the deceased recovered from the fire, to see if their loved ones are among the dead. Firefighters have contained all the blazes that engulfed seven of the eight blocks of Wang Fuk Court housing estate in Tai Po. Many residents remain in temporary shelters. Some have moved into temporary flats.
