Sustainable jewellery turns trash into treasure, empowers young single mothers

Fruit peels and vegetable scraps are being given a second life, thanks to a Hong Kong social enterprise that upcycles fruit peels and vegetables and transforms them into jewellery. The venture was set up not only as an answer to reducing food waste. It also provides networking and career opportunities for young, single mothers, to boost their self-confidence and strengthen their skills in the workplace.
