For many football fans in the city, the local Hong Kong team may not be their number one favourite. But there are still a group of diehard fans who have been devoting their passion and spare time to supporting their own team for almost a decade, regardless of the good or bad results. They are known as Hong Kong Chi Sin Lo, meaning “crazy Hong Kong people” in Cantonese. Founded in 2015, the group has grown to become one of the two major fan organisations recognised by the city’s football association. Their cheers can be heard at almost every home and away match. Members say they want to do whatever they can to convince more people to support their beloved home team.
