A massive structure built for the once-in-a-decade Jiao Festival in Hong Kong’s Kam Tin village has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest temporary bamboo altar in the world. The structure is to be transformed into a 6,000-seat Cantonese opera stage after being used for ceremonies and rituals during the six-day event that started on December 13, 2025.
