Firefighter who lost his life battling Hong Kong blaze remembered as ‘superhero’

Ho Wai-ho, 37, tragically lost his life while battling a 5-alarm blaze at Hong Kong’s Wang Fuk Court housing complex, in Tai Po, on November 26, 2025. Ho, a nine-year veteran with the Fire Services Department, was dispatched to the highrise housing complex as flames engulfed seven of the complex’s eight towers.
