Fans of the hit American sitcom Friends mourned the death of star Matthew Perry, who was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. The series was one of the first American sitcoms to be broadcast in mainland China, where it remains wildly popular to this day. Perry gained fame in the 1990s as Chandler Bing in the top-rated US television comedy Friends, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
