Race Ten : (703) - SIU MA SHAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 MAKE YOU SMILE (K426) L Ferraris Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by JUMBO STEPS.
Horse No 2 WINDLORD (L184) E Brown Shortly after the start was crowded between CITY GOLD BANNER and LADY'S LOVE which shifted out.
Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CITY GOLD BANNER (B Avdulla) which shifted in when racing tight to the inside of DARYL FLASH.
B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.
Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid DARYL FLASH when racing keenly.
Horse No 3 MR ENERGIA (J239) M F Poon Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid LADY'S LOVE.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 CITY GOLD BANNER (L155) B Avdulla Shortly after the start was crowded between DARYL FLASH and WINDLORD.
Horse No 5 ENDEARED (H161) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that his mount did not appreciate the "Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 THE UNIQUE STAR (L122) K Teetan Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Trainer B Crawford confirmed that the instructions were to go forward and lead today as it did in its barrier trial on 7 May 2026 when it was able to lead and win that trial.
Horse No 8 CHILL EASY (L148) C L Chau Near the 250 Metres made contact with PERFECTDAY due to both runners shifting ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 DARYL FLASH (L168) M Chadwick Bumped shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 PERFECTDAY (K238) J Orman Near the 250 Metres made contact with CHILL EASY due to both runners shifting ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 PATONGA HEART (L382) J Moreira Noted to have blood in the mouth at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Fractious in the starting gates, resulting in its right hind leg becoming momentarily caught in the barriers.
Was removed from the barriers, again examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
J Moreira stated that his mount travelled well throughout the early and middle stages but when placed under pressure in the Home Straight weakened.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of PATONGA HEART, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, PATONGA HEART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 12 JUMBO STEPS (L269) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by THE UNIQUE STAR which shifted out.
Horse No 13 EXCEED THE LIMIT (L267) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between MR ENERGIA which was taken out slightly and ENDEARED (A Atzeni) which shifted in.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 14 LADY'S LOVE (L220) R Kingscote Shifted out at the start and made contact with WINDLORD.

Perfectday had a wide trip travelling third last from gate nine but quickened nicely with three from the right to take control 150m out for a third win from nine starts. Chill Easy stayed on a non-threatening second after a wide with cover trip travelling midfield. He was able to back up an improved third last start. The Unique Star kept on gamely for third after dictating the pace from gate 10. It was a good effort with a step up to 1,400m. Make You Smile ran on nicely with one wider out for fourth after making his run second last from gate 12. It was a much-improved effort at his third local start. Jumbo Steps made up heaps of ground late down the outside for fifth after fading back to travel last from gate 11. It was a better effort at his second local start with a step up to 1,400m. Lady's Love made some ground for sixth after a rails run from behind midfield.
