Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (695) - CHEUNG SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 RUN RUN SUNRISE (K552) H Y Yuen Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between ZOUPER FELLOW and HERO RISING which shifted in.
Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that after being held up between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres behind ZOUPER FELLOW her mount then did not finish the race off when placed under pressure thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 MABUBU (K586) J Orman Bumped shortly after the start.
After travelling a short distance was then eased to avoid ZOUPER FELLOW which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 3 CLOUD NINE (L050) L Ferraris L Ferraris could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
Trainer M Newnham advised the horse had pleased him since its last start.
He said CLOUD NINE may not have appreciated backing up within a 11-day period and he would now look to space the horse's runs in future.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of CLOUD NINE was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, CLOUD NINE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 FLOWING (K556) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start.
Y L Chung stated that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly and failed to stretch out during the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of FLOWING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, FLOWING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 HERO RISING (L294) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and made contact with RUN RUN SUNRISE.
Horse No 8 KINGDOM (L366) J Moreira Jumped awkwardly.
J Moreira stated that his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight and may not have appreciated the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 PRECISION MIND (L296) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start made contact with FLOWING.
Horse No 12 ZOUPER FELLOW (K284) A Atzeni On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Horse No 13 COMET RADIANCE (L067) M L Yeung Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 14 LAHORE (K043) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Lahore had a handy run on the stands side and after hitting the lead 200m out, he won convincingly for a maiden success at his 11th start. Bustling City kept on gamely for second after finding the lead from gate 13. He was able to back up an improved third last start. Punted late Country Pride ran on well for third after travelling behind midfield on the grandstand side from gate 14. It was an encouraging run on debut. Mabubu stayed on for fourth after a prominent run. It was a better effort after disappointing once each over 1,200m and 1,400m. Hero Rising ran on nicely for fifth after making his run near the rear after jumping left at the start. It was a pleasing run on debut.
