TROUBLE IN RUNNING

IVY LEAGUE (H116) approaching the 100M had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between two runners - Race 344.

GLORIOUS JOURNEY (J137) steadied when crowded approaching the 1400M - Race 627.

NEVER TOO SOON (E434) held up on the Home Turn. Lay out under pressure over the final 150M, resulting in its rider changing his whip through to his left hand near the 100M - Race 650.

VERY GRATEFUL (K396) bumped shortly after the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 646.

THE ABSOLUTE (H438) jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 200M was momentarily crowded - Race 650.

AESTHETICISM (H289) near the 250M was steadied when badly crowded for room - Race 635.

DAILY ACCLAIM (L273) jumped only fairly. For some distance near the 600M became unbalanced when buffeted. Rider stated that his mount was stirred up prior to the event. He said after travelling satisfactorily during the early stages his mount did not respond to his riding when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 637.

TURIN WARRIOR (G150) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 546.

BEAUTY GEMINI (L129) jumped awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 950M got its head up when being steadied. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 634.

VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) near the 400M became unbalanced when bumped. When questioned regarding his riding rider stated that the instructions were to obtain a handy position and then in the Home Straight to not use the whip until the concluding stages as he and Trainer agreed that the horse had not previously responded well when being ridden strongly with the whip. He added despite riding his mount along in the early stages to hold a more forward position his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a result settled further back than intended where it was obliged to race wide but with cover. When questioned regarding his vigour in the early stages of the Home Straight rider stated that after improving to the outside of a runner he was satisfied that his mount was improving whilst being encouraged into the race and for that reason he did not fully test the horse until near the 200M. He said near the 200M he then applied full vigour to his mount at which point the horse lay in which prevented him from fully riding the horse out to the finish of the race. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and stated he agreed with rider that the whip should be used over the concluding stages as the horse had raced and barrier trialed well when ridden in that manner. He also expressed satisfaction with the manner in which rider rode the horse in the Home Straight - Race 650.

BULL ATTITUDE (K305) near the 450M became unbalanced when improving into a run where there as not sufficient room to do so - Race 670.

TO INFINITY (G277) shifted out at the start and made contact with a runner - Race 690.

MAGIC SUPER (K330) jumped only fairly and shortly after was steadied from heels. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 669.

THE COSMIC POWER (L064) bumped on jumping. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 675.
